Basically an electro-mechanical clutch capable of running the horsepower from say a 30-60 Hp engine would be very large and offset the power you generated from free wheeling to keep it engaged when... |

Seems to me there's always a trade off , There are of course draw backs such as NOISE which seems to work it's way around the boat one way or another,(especially in some materials/construction... |
