Yes as pilot says . Jumping the C and T terminals with no resistor just a plain piece of wire will run the compressor in low speed . This is good to confirm a bad thermostat. But remember the system...

Here you go , this one is for a fridge but if you have a bin or a spill over system you will want the one for the freezer .

Hi Flyingriki

Sounds like you have a thermostat problem , it's a cheap fix , I would go that route first. You are still using the original mechanical one right ?
