How long was your old shank in service before you changed it for the stronger version? Was it difficult to remove the bolts, or to otherwise disassemble the shank? Was there any rust either...

Do I remember someone requesting that you intentionally drop your Mantas in heavy weed, and then photograph how it sets? That information would be helpful for those who have less choice...

Keiron, thanks for the suggestion. Is there a reason why it is so large? Would it work effectively if it were substantially smaller, say 300mm square? Maybe it was large just so it would float well...

If the water is too cold or dirty to dive in, are there any suggestions for how to inspect your anchor set? Is there such a thing as a reverse periscope? How about a closed-circuit video camera...
