It over heated. Temp gauge was headed toward 220 when I shut it down. It was really hot. Overflow tank started out empty.

UPDATE: local radiator shops don't deal with heat exchanges because of EPA regs.

UPDATE:The tubing isn't removable and the acid bath didn't do anything to loosen up the closed tubes. Looks like I'm headed to the radiator shop.

Yes but no way a wire brush can do it. The sediment is almost like concrete.

Oh no, the fresh water pump was shot as was the impeller. Thermostat was a shot in the dark. It was only $19 so I figured why not.

Yes, positive it's a KE150 Mitsubishi. I get parts usually from tractor shops which charge about 25% what westerbeke charges. It might be the W33 though and not the W27. Highly recommend this engine...

Yes, fresh water cooled. I flushed the engine meaning I used some of that engine flush liquid available at auto parts stores. Pour it into the coolant and run the engine til warm and drain. Refill...
