I look at this (too long of a) post as a feud.

Such a pity. Both types have own merits and deficiencies, which can be more or less relevant to the user.

There is a difference, plain evidence in this post, between being sailors or just boat owners.

I honestly dont give a bit about others' boats... :-)

Heeling beyond say 30° means an overcanvassed boat
Anything lesser is just pleasant and... faster
Pounding is typical of modern flat beamy designs.

My 54' displaces 27tonnes and has 11tonnes...

A sturdy professional skipper told me he suffered from seasickness just once, when on a rough sea with a cat....... maybe it was the table bouncing up :-P

I dont want to feel constrained in a half-size hull, with a long corridor like a jail

I dont want two engines, positively so!

I want to be able to see beyond the bow from the cockpit astern
...
