I realise my question was not fully explained regarding the call of nature.

I am one of those male solo sailors. My sailing in general is coastal and as such, Im am usually in fairly busy waters....

Given the high cost of purchase and renting in Californian cities on the coast. More and more men and women are becoming liveaboards. Youtube has a number of videos on it..

Solo sailing. As I coastal a lot solo, I DONT go below. Too busy and too risky. I have all my food and drinks at hand and a bucket. I can highly recommend Zojirushi thermos for keeping...

Once got caught with food poisoning on a solo overnight passage. Fever, puking and evacuations everywhere... sat on a bucket next to the tiller the entire time for 7 hours. Worked well.

My question was indeed genuine.
We were moving a boat about 4 miles, and one of the people helping was a woman. Not a boater and was with one of the other hands that the owner invited.
