FWIW: the flex panel that I reported upon upthread was one that came mounted on a thinish aluminium plate... perhaps one mm thick. This allows overall flexing, but should help with the local flexing...

FWIW:

BOught relatively inexpensive Chinese semi flex 100 watt panel, mounted on top of a fabric dodger. Dodger does not flex perceptibly, but the panel did vibrate slightly in some wind...
