I do the Amazon thing as well. But for me it’s laziness, I have no interest in shopping at all.
That’s my Wife’s thing, and one of our Daughter’s.

We are spending on cruising the Bahamas, less than $1,000 a month.
However it’s not sustainable, because we stocked the boat with just about everything we needed before we left, so we buy just some...

Everything is relative, this was my neighbor, up anchored and left this morning, charter boat, apparently $200,000 a week.
Bet you could get it for only 3/4 Mil a month though....

See if there is an Army surplus store nearby, that gear is usually very good and cheap

Public libraries, quite a few motels / hotels, many restruants, many book stores. Free Wifi is available just have to look, and often scan. There are Wifi "catchers" made, but I don't have nor have I...

Not meant as a political comment, they are called "Obama phones" pretty much universally. Only point it if your living on $500 a month, I think you would surely qualify, but admit I don't know what...

I believe a cell phone that is not currently signed up with any carrier will still function as a 911 call.
But around here people with limited incomes get free "Obama phones"

I had assumed the frugal cruiser had one of those WiFi repeaters and was using whatever signals they could. I live on more than what we are postulating here and won't buy one of those personal...
