Thank you for this - a step forward. Yes my transmission has an offset. I'd prefer to rebuild this one (so that i can be sure it fits) and add a cooler.

Thank you. Do you think a cooler would help? I'm reluctant to start to trying to install a new transmission because everything takes a long long time here and supply lines are weeks long.

Thanks for this. Rather than changing the transmission I'm looking whether a cooler would help. Anythoughts on that?

Hi,

The transmission on my 32-foot steel sailboat needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Any help would be much appreciated.

The transmission is probably a Borg Warner - the plate says "BW tip 6" ...
