Re: Atlantic Delivery

Which begs the question: Notwithstanding Boatman's original intent for posting SPOT on CF what is his intent, if any, now? The rampant speculation and high anxiety shown in this thread is enough to...

Re: Atlantic Delivery

All the information the sailor needs is already all around him. The clouds, the wind, the waves...all are telltales of what's coming. If only one knows the language of these things can they know how...

Re: Atlantic Delivery

I suppose the difference can be expressed as 'rescue' or 'assist'.

Surely, there are some who launch with no other course but direct to the accident scene yet there are many more who go fully...

Re: Atlantic delivery

I believe he does. At least he implied it when he mentioned he was plying several gents with IPA. Either they signed on or they were pressed into service. Those Englishmen are a crafty lot. Also,...

Re: Atlantic delivery

That is the weather I mentioned in post 50. I have a feeling it will dissipate over the water however because it was/is highly organized it will still be strong. I'd like to see it at least to...

Re: Atlantic delivery

Upon what basis do you extrapolate the route? I'm not disagreeing but if it were me I'd take the route based on current weather. Further north on the stream one could expect northerly winds.

That...

Re: Atlantic delivery

Or, in the midst of said pub crawl he only thinks he left said SPOT in back of said taxi and he's trying to track it down. He sees he's close but it hasn't yet occurred to him that he check his...

Re: Atlantic delivery

I never get over the irony of the days of frenetic activity leading up to starting a trip then when you actually shove off it's so casual as you step off the dock and decide, might as well go now....
