Check with a motor home manufacturer, some are installing instant hot water heaters. I am led to believe they operate on both 'shore' power and 12 volt.

This may be redundant by now, but on a Yanmar I had there was a set-screw or whatever they are called, that screwed onto the shaft and may be obscured by the rubber covering it over!

Check out the Epsom ET-3710. No cartridges ... you have refill bottles and the tanks take the whole bottle of each colour! At 10 pages per week you will not run out of ink for a year or much more!...
