They were originally made in new Zealand the later ones were made in china, I heard rumours of them having problems with the Chinese made ones? so they may have changed were they are manufactured now

Have you tried a heat gun? It should make the glue soft and easy the scrap off, then i would use a solvent to clean up

I have an emergency rudder

It works ok in light to moderate conditions but over thirty knots or if the existing rudder was attached but at an acute angle it wouldn't have any effect

It should rev to 3800 if out of gear, yanmar rev counts tend to over read, it will probably indicate about 4000 rpm, they are excellent motors but "like" to be at higher rev's :thumb:
