Did that on our Mango few years ago. The bolts are in the bottom of the FW tank, in the bilge under the cockpit stair and in the engine bilge. Not hard to get to, but you need quite long extender rod...

Agree on the Amels. If you dont have the budget for a Super Maramu, tou might consider the Mango.

As I understand it, AUS tax is based on the price I gave for the boat, whereas in NZ it will be the selling price.

Actually, the current will be 1/2 and hence the power 1/4, when you are talking about heaters. Motors are not quite that simple, depends on the application.

If you want to engage the gear to avoid the shaft from turning when under sail, it is normally recommended to put it in REVERSE. This is to avoid damage on the gearbox, which is not designed to have...

If it is anything like Garmins drive units, the clutch is in fact a solenoid valve, which should be activated when autopilot is ON. This is easy to check with some piece of steel ( not SS..)

Blue smoke will be lube oil, not bad combustion. Did they overhaul the cylinder head as well? If not, it maybe should be done.

Try to reset the unit:
1 Turn it ON on the panel
2 With the unit ON, remove the MAIN fuse, 30 amps or so.
3 Wait for 10 sek.

Do you have this problem in both forward and reverse? I would check and see if the engine mounts are OK. This sounds like a problem I had when reversing, the frame of the engine would vibrate against...
