Re: Converting Delco 22Si to external regulation

Very helpful information....thanks for posting. It's been a while: any feedback on how the 22Si performed under external regulation? Did alt heat result in serious output throttling?

Re: LiFeP04, your complete system cost

https://sailbits.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Grace-Victron-LiFePO4-Power-System-v2.jpg

In terms of cost, if I do not include the alternator systems, solar charger and panels, and inverter, I...

Re: GPS-Hdg Sensor Shoot-Out

Pizzazz....no argument that there are varying degrees of accuracy between gps compasses. But with hyper-accuracy goes hyper-pricing, as you have indicated. I don't need better than 2degrees RMS...

Re: GPS-Hdg Sensor Shoot-Out

Dockhead...thanks for that. You are right that the HS60 determines heading from maths applied to its two gps antennas vs the WX200's fluxgate compass...BUT with the WX200 up on the flybridge hardtop...

Re: GPS-Hdg Sensor Shoot-Out

Pizzazz: thanks for your interest, but you may have missed that I am specifically looking for a GPS+Hdg sensor...not just Hdg. I understand the difference between the two...I want both!

GPS-Hdg Sensor Shoot-Out

Re: Describe Your Ultimate Integrated Instrument Setup!

What is the right trade-off between getting close to the vessel's COG vs avoiding magnetic fields? The Maretron SCC 200 & the Airmar H2183 both have sophisticated rate gyros, but their instruction...

Re: Describe Your Ultimate Integrated Instrument Setup!

The Airmar H2183 is about the same cost as the Maretron SSC 200, but ships without cables. A special combination cable and junction box need to be separately purchased to supply N2K & 0183...

Re: Describe Your Ultimate Integrated Instrument Setup!

Installation is on a motor cruiser with hydraulic stablizers, not a sail boat.

Re: Describe Your Ultimate Integrated Instrument Setup!

I have NavNet 3d (MFD12) and I need a new heading sensor. I want it to output NMEA0183 directly to an autopilot that only takes 0183, and I want an N2K output directly to the NN3D. Furuno's PG500...
