Dockhead, Was I wrong in my previous post? I still have to think at least 50% of the weight of the chain will be putting downward pressure on the anchor in the case that the chain is pulled tight.... |

The chain still has it's inherent mass which would still add downward force to the anchor, even when bar tight. Sure, not 100% of it's mass, but a large enough fraction to have a positive affect on... |

Yeah, you don't need much keel when you have leeboards. She drafts about 2.5', I guess I'll see exactly in the spring. It would be hard to say who designed her as she is based on a traditional... |
