I spoke with a tech at Xantrex. The Xantrex does stop the current output mid-bulk phase charge once the pre-set (which is adjustable) voltage is reached. Turns out it's just fine for what I need it...

Switched to the NUC a while ago. Use my phone or iPads for most everything else.
I’ll update the MultiPlus firmware then play with the settings.

Disconnected the DMC and presto...settings & data are available on the Touch. No AC pass through mechanism, but I think a work around will be to drop the charger settings to a lower V and rely on...
