We have removed many boat names from.gelcoat using EZoff oven cleaner. It has never hurt the gelcoat nd is easy to work with. Ted.

Harken traveler end cap

ISO circa mid 90s Harken big boat traveler end cap. What is needed is the single cheek block on top. App 1 1/8 track, 5 in long. Block has 3 bolts, center one sits on a post.

You can get a battery amp tester for about 20 bucks at Harbor Freight or a little more at most any auto parts store. It takes about 15 seconds to load test the battery and it will show if it is any...

We are looking at a 1975 41OI to buy. I cannot find any info on the layout on this one. The closest I can come is the 1976 41OI. It has a portside galley. Also, the vee birth has been split in two...

We are actually looking at bending our stanchions inward a bit cause they are outward just enough to catch on pilings when coming in to a dock.

I obtained a pair of Steiner 10x50 many years ago for work. Still have them and still like them. I also have a pair of fugis and only use them if I need a bearing ref.

We use Seafoam regularly. A can full in the car gas and boat deisel keeps the moisture out and running smooth. not every tankful but a couple times a year.

Another, less costly, is Rustolium Restore 10X. I put it on the deck of our aluminum boat and it works great. Light sand with 80 grit works well.

Wondering if the car radar detector would pick marine radars. Mine used to pick up the auto door radar on grocery stores as I drove past shopping centers. Then backup alarms started setting it off....

Boatpoker, from what we've seen on the weather channel, you might want to load up with emergency relief supplies if you're going to the Abs. They have been all but wiped out.

If you are close to a Bass Pro or Cabela's check in their camping section. They have small propane heated showers for tenters. . You can also go to the webs for them and see on line.

We just bought B&G Zeus 3 w/4g radar. Waiting to get the time to I install it. I understand it will interface with our Raymarine a/p and our Standare Horizon GX2200 for ais reception.
