thank you all- I have since found Ted Brewer's original design plans for hull #1, calling for (all 1x19 wire) 1/2" bobstay, 3/8" forestay and 5/16" for everything else.

Ah good- I too am looking for radar and interested in this- does this mean that i can run the DRS4DNXT directly to a laptop without shelling out for a separate Furuno MFD? I really like that option...
