Re: Oil slick in a storm to calm swell

Oh dear. I used canola oil to lubricate the head pump. Worked great and one bottle lasted many years in the tropical heat without going rancid. Kind of made me wonder if it was really good to ingest.

Re: Danish Rose 39 owners

Marcio,
Your vessel is known as a full keel vessel. Your photo
located at https://imgur.com/a/f1cDjzV shows about 1/2 of the keel above the level of the sand.

About 1/2 of the keel is located...

Re: Danish Rose 39 owners

I am pretty sure that Marcio's vessel is resting on the beach and part buried in the sand. He appears to be looking for leaks preventing it from refloating.

Study his links at:...

Re: For those who are cheering on the City of Miami Beach

Okay just thinking creatively how to get around the dinghy issue.
#1 Solving the dinghy and docking fee is easy.
It is called a dry bag. Swim to shore when the weather is calm. Stock up on foods...

Re: Oddball anchors you have loved?

Thanks for the links to watch the Bulwagga in action.

One of the things I can see that is very different about the Bulwagga is how the anchor chain acts upon it. The chain doesn't pull it. The...

Re: Lagoon 450F Operations in high winds

To me, a small cat with two engines should be a breeze to dock in any windage compared to a much larger trimaran with only one engine. But I should be able to convey a few things I learned that may...

The Bulwagga anchor looks really interesting to me. I always had problems with my anchor wanting to come up upside down on the roller. It sometimes took several attempts to and manually kicking the...

One thought on this issue that I would consider is SAFETY. You are the one who knows how to get the engine in the water when you need it. How about the casual day person who sails with you?
