No roving yet but i did buy a roll of 24 ounce and plan to add some into the mix. Of course alternating layers with mat.

Absolutly correct. Y wud sum1 ever respray good gelcoat? reason i asked is because i sanded the paint off my gelcoat with 60 grit on the one side. It may still be able to be saved i havent sanded...

So you cant respray an entire side of a boat with gelcoat? Seems a good way to go cuz its not nearly as toxic. I just started looking into gelcoating.

Well sure under the water line is fine because u will be epoxy barriercoating. I dout west marine even sells unwaxed gelcoat. See i was planning on repainting cuz i thought the old gel was shot....

the biaxle had a piece of string holding it together which didnt do a very good job. i could have used it but it just seemed more of a pita to wet out and it would easily seperate

guess i was right in my thinking. 10ounce cloth...
guess i was right in my thinking. 10ounce cloth is stronger than the same weight woven roving... great for making repairs which is great cuz now i can use epoxy with peace of mind
