Hi, agree it was a small investment (reused the mainsail cover) for a big improvement in mainsail handling.
In retrospect I should have sewn the stack pack sides to the foot of the mainsail instead...

Possibly a small terminal block with threaded screws?
You could coat the wires with solder on deck them tighten them into the block and tape or shrink wrap

Hi, on same motor was getting white smoke on startup, decreasing as it warmed up to temp.
Starts up easy, ran well otjerwise, oil.very clean.

Did easy things first, added 4x usual diesel...

Agree with .3 to .5 gal per hr for a 6Kw genset. A challenge with portable units is the noise....seems loud even 5 boats away in anchorage...built in are much quieter, though do create heat once...

Another vote for Interlux brightside...just sand, prime, roll and tip....did 2 coats, still looks great.
the paint is still good for scratch touch up 3 years later if properly sealed.

We made it in 1 season, left San Blas in Feb, through canal in 1 week, stopped in Galapagos, Marques, Tuamotos, Societies, Rarotonga, Tonga and cleared into NZ by mid Nov to avoid S Pacific cyclone...

My gelcoat came back nicely aftrr removing cracked and scratched awlgrip, with 180, then 320 grit on my orbital sander, then final polish with a buffer. I did end up painting with one part Brightside...

Consider adding 2 inches of polyurethane foam on sides and 4 inches on the bottom, then separating the new space with a plexiglass divider with 1/4 to 1/3 for freezer and the rest for the spillover...

From.what I read the biggest coolant change risk is air bubbles, so I take the hot water tank.coolant line off at a nearby hose clamp and bring it out higher than the hot water and full it from there...
