Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

I think that has been true for many years now. At least in my opinion. It's sad in one regards, that the lifestyle of the ordinary guy, messing with boats is coming to an end but I'm happy for the...

Through hull sealant that can go in water before cured

Guess who snapped of the head water intake valve handle?...:banghead: I will need to hang in the slings and replace the valve and probably the thru-hull as I'm guessing the set up is 44 years old....

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Don't faint...It's a Taiwan Bentley 38. Trust me...you do not want one of those.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

They listed that boat as an Ingrid 38. It was neither an Ingrid or Alajuela. It is a Bentley 38 which was the Taiwan knock-off and came with all the Taiwan boat problems.

Re: West Marine Restructures Debt

I have had nothing but problems with them, the few times I used them. I purchased foam hatch gasket and while packing it, used packing tape to hold it in a tight coil. To remove the tape would tear...

Re: Plastic thruhull and Sika-291i

Oh sure...after 90+ years of DC black being negative and red being positive it's so easy to forget and hey yellow as negative?...ya, that makes sense. How do you manage to tie your shoes?

Re: Work as a glassfiber and gelcoat worker around ?

Re: Work as a glassfiber and gelcoat worker around ?

Any gelcoat repair match (and I have done a lot of matching) I have done has been with a base white gelcoat in a can and 3-4 tints. I have never heard of carrying 30 different gelcoat colors mainly...
