We are planning to be in Naples Italy in May 2019.

We want to tour the Amalfi Coast by sailboat. Looking for experienced advice. Especially anchoring in such deep water.

We have a 40ft ketch sailboat. The boat is stored on the hard in Jacksonville area from June-Dec. We usually remove the main and mizzen sails and store them in the boat cabin, and we tie the stack...

So, Rocna anchors are on sale for 2 more days and I’d like to upgrade our Bruce.

Summer storage in FL -- Water tank full or empty

We are leaving our sailboat for the summer in North Florida. Should the water tanks be left full or empty?

We will be back in November so freezing should not be an issue.

Sorry for the delay in replying. We are in the Bahamas with sketchy internet.

The timing on our pump was set by the mechanic who rebuilt the pump so when reinstalling we just had to align...

Thanks. The problem is the Delco alt has an internal regulator. The alt itself has just a grounding lug to the case, a positive terminal, and a plug that says "do not remove".

Soooo. We swopped the old Balmor alternator with a spare Delco Remy alternator we had on-board. Battery charging issue appears to resolved, but still no tach as the Delco has no port for the stater...

Thanks. When the tach kicks off, the batteries are at about 13.0, so ok. And all diagnostics on regulator check out ok. I would like to think I don't have a problem, but, the batteries don't charge...

How do I turn up the regulated float voltage??

Using more electricity does nothing (everything with a switch was turned on and still no tach).

Not sure about battery voltage when this happens....

We have the same issue with our Tach. However, putting load on the system does not cause the tach to come back on, nor does turning off the solar panel. And, while tach is offline, our batteries are...
