We have 1000hrs on ours. Still love it. I took it apart last time we hauled and repacked it with grease, very straightforward.

We have maggi chain and that is indeed what that is. We have been very happy with Maggie and the rep here in the states where awsome to work with. Galvanizing is much better than current Acco.

We sailed our hc33 from Panama to the Cayman islands, Caymans to Mexico, Mexico to Miami. We did it in May. It was a sporty sail but we did it fine. Most of our daily averages where above 150mi days....

The biggest drawback of auxiliary rudder wind vanes is they don't usually fair very well when motoring as the prop wash can over power the trim tab. If you where to design a hinge system to get it...

It's a trim tab axillary rudder windvane. Simple and robust. Never heard of the company but the closest thing would be auto-helm from scanmar

None of the hc38 where built in the Hansa yard to my knowledge. Only the 33s where and apparently a few 48s but I have never seen proof of that. Cutoff for the switch was 87' when the 33s where moved...

Sounds good. I didn't know they had bolt on ballast. How acceable are the keel bolts? Having lowered on keel on a 28' I can tell you that it's no small feat. The biggest problem was to get the thing...
