Yes, transects are strategically utilised but aren’t cost effective to do the whole thing. Theyre more comprehensive than flying a plane over the whole thing and yes species richness is greatest...

Fish double bagged in sealed polythene bags and packed in Polystyrene boxes is the normal transport method. Makes you wander what kind of people they allow to fly planes!
