Re: NOAA ENC - Panning in 5.6.2 vs 5.2.4 w/quilting

Re: NOAA ENC - Panning in 5.6.2 vs 5.2.4 w/quilting

NOAA ENC - Panning in 5.6.2 vs 5.2.4 w/quilting

Hello,

I've noticed a substantial difference between OpenCPN 5.2.4 and 5.6.2 (tried on both Win10 and Ubuntu 22.04) in chart panning performance using NOAA ENC vector charts for my home region...

Re: Display marker/light numbers only?

Thanks for that suggestion. I will work on getting set up on the tracker and submitting this as a feature request.

Re: Display marker/light numbers only?

I would not suggest breaking charting globally, only that perhaps there could be an optional filter for object names on certain chart types such as this one to increase situational awareness in tight...

Re: Display marker/light numbers only?

Just to give you another example: In downtown Fort Lauderdale the ICW meets the New River in two channels, with a 1-3 foot shoal between. If you are traveling north and enter the river via the...

Re: Display marker/light numbers only?

Thanks for the feedback. This is indeed the situation I was referring to, and in some situations and areas with complex, crossing channels it's even more difficult. If OBJNAM is the only field...

Re: Display marker/light numbers only?

Sorry,I should have been more specific. I am using NOAA ENC charts, and ideally I would like to filter the names to more closely match the format used on the NOAA raster charts (ie the marker/buoy...
