Agree with zstine. You’re asking for trouble in how you’ve laid it out. Figure out a clam shell approach and/or a piece of j conduit to better seal that hole.

On my old Volvo diesel, copper washers were used for the fuel lines. Anything rubber would deteriorate, and copper is soft enough that they worked to seal the fuel line joint at the injector....

I can only attest to the 2 marinas I’ve had long term moorage in here in the PNW, and yes, it’s a requirement. Others have noted why. The challenge is that not all insurance companies will do that....
