Great I will see what I can do about not using a 90. Will have to wait until I can get back to the boat...sometime next month...fingers crossed.

Thanks, as soon as I can I think I will just replace the cable with a new one, again, and see about repositioning the handle. Right now it travels about 7' and has about three bends in it as it goes...

I was told that the prop I have is a bit larger than what was original, 12" rather than the 10.5" that is stated on the factory delivery sheet from 1985. Never thought about measuring it last time...

Heavy trimmer (weed-eater) line might work better. Won't rust and the .155 is really strong. Good luck.
