Great Loop on a sailboat, but leaving the mast beh

Well it’s what we are doing - right now - albeit in a 45’ sailing catamaran

Mast comes off next week in Lauderdale Marine Centre,
We are having s minor refit/furb and then we head north on around...

Thanks for the responses - all valid!

I agree that were we to be just focused on the Great Loop - we might look at trading through for a Trawler, but as it is we hope to continue sailing in 4 or 5...

Lagoon 450f 2017.

We’ve just arrived in the BV, wn route to Florida where we plan to de mast and stay on the ICW for 3 - 5 years.


Would there be a market to sell our mast...

Many thanks all.

I’ve removed - cleaned and returned all the piping from the traps to the tanks in each head and now have snap in / out jansco pump set up along with new Joker valves. All is now...

We did the trip through the Rias and would say that Ria do Muros is great, plenty of nice spots and Muros is a great , cheapish marina should you need to get alongside, Ria du Arousa is better...

yes, we ordered the digital fly by wire controls, the reasoning being that for a year to two we plan to be a motor boat, mast down and on the Great Loop; so we might use the lower...

It’s an agreed value @600k plus the tender and £10k of personal items.
They, Y, have a very good reputation regarding their policy wording, especially relating to defects resulting in losses.

Cruising Med and Atlantic Portugal and Spain was £2k
Crossing with ARC+ - cruising Bahamas, Caribbean and eastern seaboard with 1st June to 1st November...
