Huh? Um no. The Kubota based hybrid is a parallel propulsion system. Not soley a power generation system.

If your are talking about the shallow "bump" on this inside of the housing, that is by design. The impeller vanes pass up and over the "bump" that is how it sucks water in from the intake side.

Happens all the time. A boat built in France will cost more to ship to the US with it's long fin keel already attached. Takes up more shipping space.
