Re: My refrigerator still uses R-12. What are my options?
A refrigerant other than R-12 may not be compatible with the seals in the system. The wrong stuff might eat them. Best to recharge with R-12 (plenty on eBay). Unless Frigoboat can recommend a... |

Re: Yanmar Raw Water Pump

Re: Rebel Heart Crew suing.....
What a role model for us (wannabe?) sailors: fail your dreams? sue someone! Sailors know you never put your eggs on one basket. You always plan contigencies. So because he believed his... |

Re: 2 cylinder volvo rebuilt
Seems awfully high for an md7 (having had one). I think the fresh paint may be deceptive. Check the compression before you make a deal. |

Re: Anacortes to Barkley Sound - Navigation Tips
If you are following the Van Isle side of the strait (sounds like you are if you intend to leave Sooke) you can expect some swells on the nose as you round up the island, especially if there is any... |

Re: Anacortes to Barkley Sound - Navigation Tips
What they said. A radar is highly recommended, no matter what time of year. We got socked in at Neah Bay and would have otherwise had to wait days to make the crossing without our radar. Unless... |

Re: West Marine Getting Worse
I worked at WM in the 80's when they were six or seven stores on the West Coast. Today there is one in my home town. I NEVER shop there unless I am in a pinch and need a last minute part or ran out... |

Re: Sudden Attraction to Hunters
For a thread at 26 pages and dating back three years? I doubt many will. Some don't have the time. Not as much as thread owners keeping their threads alive for three years! :D |

Re: Sudden Attraction to Hunters
Happens all the time. A boat built in France will cost more to ship to the US with it's long fin keel already attached. Takes up more shipping space. It's the same reason the mast is not stepped... |

Re: Sudden Attraction to Hunters
For many boats, this is true. Liners, used since late 70s, early 80s, were/are indeed used as a "convenience" during the build process for "pre-assembly" of the interior, etc. With modern... |
