Re: Recommendations for a 5 day cat. vacation

Your budget is doable but, for a cat, you would need to make some changes. First, move your vacation time towards late summer. Second get another couple/family to take the other side and split it. ...

Re: Certifications or Licensing for insurance

Thanks for the info! I'm planning to get a few more ASA anyway, specially navigation, and the 6-pack with sailing endorsement eventually. Maybe one day you will need an extra hand when I'm ready!

Re: Certifications or Licensing for insurance

Thank you for the information. When you do deliveries, what do you look for when you hire extra hands to deliver? Would a 6 pack be favored by you over ASA Certs? I'm coming in late to the sailing...

I have ASA 101 & 103, and looking to purchase our first catamaran. It seems that the insurance companies will write cheaper policies with 114, but after looking at what the sailing schools would...

Re: Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

Also keep in mind that Colin is very experienced in the systems of yachts, so the average Joe may have a much larger expense ahead of them.

I have watched Parlay since the beginning and I remember...

Re: Weird sale deal- what should I do?

I'm in the real estate business. All title companies require money to be wired for funding because cashiers checks are fraudulently used all the time.

Banks usually charge between $20-$30 to send...

Give the old guy his dream! It's his money and it will probably piss of a few family members. Looks like a win/win situation to me:)

I'm...

Re: Multihull for first boat?

That is what I am looking to do. I bought a cheap hobie cat 16 about 5 years ago, got ASA 101 & 103 so far, rented a 40' cat in the Abaco's last year, and will continue to get my certifications,...
