Hi all.

Went back to the boat to find no shore power present.

Further inspection found the breaker in the isolation transformer had tripped.

Tried to flick back on, but it trips again...

It’s very difficult. The original is a heat/pressure application.

Some have had semi-success using gel-type CA glue.

How old are your Lewmar winches? If newer than about 1992 then you can probably add electric drive to them via an upgrade kit.

That’s the part number for a pro fish yes

Hi Bob. Without knowing the model it’s hard to say what should or shouldn’t be done, as it will depend greatly on the drive-train in your particular windlass.

The sprung arm is there for rope (or chain/rope mixed) rode, to ensure the rope is pushed into the teeth in the inner part of the gypsy.

If you have chain only rode, then you could remove this...
