Re: Taking a Leave of Absence

All very good responses and I had never considered health insurance.

Just a quick summary: I'm single, no kids, liveaboard (no house), nearly a years salary in savings plus more than a years...

Taking a Leave of Absence

It's one of those things I'd like to do and it's fun to talk about, but I don't seem to be getting any closer to actually doing it after all these years :whistling:

I'm thinking that actually...

Re: Replacing diesel with electric

As to your questions, more information is needed.

I have not done the conversion but did the research a couple...

The boat is sold! Listing to sold in what, 7 or so weeks, has got to be a record for an old sailboat :thumb:

While I didn't get what I wanted, we dickered and I got more than initially offered. ...

Re: 1975 Ranger 33 for Reasonable Offer

Lots of wasted space between the back of the cockpit and the transom. Almost enough room to crawl in and stretch out. Some boats have an 11 gallon fuel tank back there and usually a water heater...

Re: Do you tip divers?

Um. . .no? Why would I tip them? If they were making $4 an hour and took my order and brought my food and kept my water glass full, sure I'll tip them :thumb:

Why would I tip the diver who...

Re: 1975 Ranger 33 for Reasonable Offer

$13,000 or reasonable offer. I have no qualms with dickering on price, especially if you've done your research. Not desperate to sell, but if...
