Mistaken name for the bung

We keep our boat on a swing mooring (firth of clyde) and usually leave the dinghy at the dinghy park.

If you have separate windlass battery, use that to power the horn and use lighter gauge wire to operate a relay which will switch the horn?

Have you had a look at a Stebel Nautilus air horn? It's quite compact (I fitted it to my motorbike) and has lasted several UK winters with the associated road salt etc.

Best of luck to you, I'm sure you'll have a great time taking her out and wonder why you kept putting it off.

The Mac28 is a great wee boat, had mine out in 25-30 knot winds and she was no trouble...

170A cables seems a bit extreme for a 300W inverter. I always thought the '300W' stated was the output power, therefore if the inverter is a 110V system it would be 300W/110V=less than 3A
