I placed them just in front of the engines, brass pickup scoop, 1 1/2 inch what a difference the water flow is amazing, best thing ever! Used y valves to pick up the transom feed too

Shaft tube fixable?

Float Switch, Breaker?

I had a faulty float switch replaced that did not seem to want to shut off and ran down the battery. Now however with the new one in place it will not activate the pump. Now the pump works fine...

Looking into this more, the motor mounts seem to have settled and the shaft is sitting lower at the exit of the hull, so I suspect it has worn a hole in the shaft tube. Its best to check your motor...

Leaking shaft seal

I have a Sureseal shaft seal that does not leak at the dock, but underway sprays out a good bit of water. So the bilge pump cycles on about every 20-30 minutes while underway. I am trying to wait...
