Anyone care to recommend an accredited surveyor to do a full pre sale and insurance survey? The 47' sailing yacht is in a Marina on the Costa Brava. Many thanks!

it is not a bad omen to change the name of a boat, change the name change the luck was the saying in olden times. Changing the name could be a positive if you were a fisherman on a bad run.

it would depend how it was registered what level of registration and on what Flag she sailed. Many boats do not have this marking as they were never used commercially or the Flag jurisdiction didn't...

yes that is the way it was done in the good old days. The MCA some time ago decided it wasn't feasible to carve into GRP now days a plaque like the one in the picture is acceptable for part one...

That might be a good solution for us, get the owner to sail south to WA and sell the boat to us there, We could sail the boat back into Canada as British flagged vessel. We would have to keep leaving...
