There are some models, which are prone to heavy osmosis. You will find them very quickly with google. I would check that before buying.

Choose Dinghi and Ourboarder as large as you can effort and carry on the mothership. They are so essential while cruising. We are 2 adults and one kid (12 years) and have a 9.5 ft dinghi with 10 hp....

We are sailing a Lagoon 380 build 2007. The SD are behind the rudder, too. Totally agree with belizesailor regarding going backwarda. Never use the steering wheel when space for manoeuvering is tight.
