You are not getting what solar compatible means it means exactly this it can run directly off of the solar panel output no battery or anything now won't work outside of daylight hours .

One observation over the years ince CR started asking LFP questions sever years ago about marine installs you can be assured he will make at a minimum 3 different posts referencing car stereo...

10 years of LTO experience ok where are the pictures of those marine installations?

Just stick with LEAD it has a pedigree and good working history starting engines.

What's the issue running on full power ? The motor is sealed and water cooled so no heat buildup to damage it .

Don't do anything hook up the lifepo4 battery and run it no different than a FLA except better power density and a lot lighter.

Mine produces average 1.5gph using 3.8ah in 48°F water. ( power used will be lower per gallon in warmer water)

Dang complex if you ask me . All I have to do is run a cable from my alternator + output to the power in on the DC DC A cable to the negative bus and a dense wire to the ignition run lug . All done

Ok question how is the FLA start battery float charged?

JMO but floating batteries is a surefire way to kill them prematurely just same as PSOC will kill all lead based deep cycle batteries.

I don't take care of them I just use them . For myself there is no boatyard cost. Recall I am a semi retired shipwright so I do all of my own work.

$285 USD will buy my start battery 4 times and I expect a full 10 years with each replacement battery.

I must be the weird oddball then I'm going on 10 years on 3 vehicles and 5 on the 4th all...

I priced out a 35ah LTO for my starting needs off of your link and it was almost $300 not even including the BMS for LTO batteries.
My FLA start battery is under $70 and i have one that has lasted...

I bet the writer mentions ah not watts 75 watts is is only 5ah didn't know they made lead that small other than power wheels. And 2230 watts lfp is 185ah not much for a big vessel.
