You are right, only though this is not a Beneteau first 26 but a Comfortina 38 the keel is Lead and it starts 20 cm lower from where the crack in the pic ends

That part is part of the hull and is hollow (bilge space) the keel starts lower, after further investigation and a lot of grinding i figured that this is not a crack but a mold seam as many...

This is a bolt on keel, there are no indications on the inside, I check for crack , bents etc

I found this crack on my keel, the cracked area is just fiberglass and the keel bolts to it on a lower level (like a skeg ) .

Yes they look good, hull construction is looking good no doubts, some age and negletion issues, and luck of space compare to other model but i am kind in love with it.

My main concern with electric is that is not water proof when diesel is ..
There are ways to work it around but your batteries will always be a suspect in sinking conditions when the diesel will go...

Don't focus on the crack focus underneath, something is wrong with the chain plate anchor system and the mast pulls the deck up.

I did it twice .
1) call the vts on the phone they will ask for your boat details and then give you information about the currents

2) stay on the side but always check your GPS speed to clarify...

Use the lightest and oldest sails you have .
If you plan to motor go with your normal wardrobe 5 years old sails are not old .

In that sense I would complain to their superiors about bad and dangerous boat handling , I did it once in Greece, and my complains reached the captain...
