Re: Amel 50 vs. Garcia 52 vs. Discovery 48

In my opinion, lifting keels are a devil’s invention. Wait until you have to clean the barnacles in the storage well or break tthe he lifting system or worse yet is to have some wear on the lifting...

We have a Yammy Enduro 15 on an AB 9.5... goes like the wind. Locked X 2 at all times.

Also, like you, I would not steal an electric outboard...

Point to consider... Nauticat has...

Re: Jenneau SO32 vs Baveria 30

Welcome. I would select the Bavaria... to avoid retractable lifting keeel. This will always be a source of problem in my opinion of course.

Re: Wooden boat repair in Turkey

Re: Amel 50 - Build Thread

Hello NunoPinho, you might want to look at all AMEL boats of the size you wish: this might include Super Maramus, A54, A55 and even A64’s. They are all well built Blue Water yachts.

We began our...

Re: Jib very hard to roll in, no upper body strength! -- 2 threads merged

Hi LauraLee,

Over the years, salt, carp and corruption has infected your furler and the mast head swivel. WASH VERY LIBERALLY with running water, apply WD40 and exercise the system. Then do it...

Rethink needed....

Re: 46 Amel Santorin Ketch

We've been living non stop on Eleuthera for 4 years. All in, the cost is about US$60k a year. IMO, absolutely impossible on $15k a year.
