I have the Volvo Penta MS2B -L The straight Version. Gear box..The last letter L shows it is a level box. The letter A would show an angled box.
It fitted right onto A three cylinder 20 HP...

Because it is not as easy to break into than a fancy padlock..
You can't place a iron bar in it and prize it off.
And you can't cut it off with a hacksaw.

They are galvanised coated bullets.

The lock insets / Barrels are stainless steel.
You remove them when you unlock it and store them away until you need to lock it all up again....

The barrel is removable .
You push the barrel into the socket from the outside only.

I would not use it to lock myself in.. I thought it's use would be when you are NOT aboard it is...

The one I use is 85watt it keeps both batteries fully charged at all times.

I have got to the point now of thinking Could I replace my stuff in the boat if it was stolen.!!

The answer for me would be not right away..and possibly not all of it.

Hi many thanks for the offer.
My shaft is 30mm so I have quite a big prop the idea was because the keel to the front of the prop is so wide I would lose about 40% of the output of any prop I fitted...
