Re: Surveyor Recommendation - Annapolis

I just used Will Stahlgren with Fred Wise Yacht Survey Wiseyacht.com to survey a 55' catamaran in Georgetown and was quite satisfied with his work. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and a fountain of...

Re: Haul and Elec Work in Ft. Lauderdale

Might be a lot cheaper to buy a 120 charger for your batteries and use a 220 inverter for 220 appliances if you have them. No changes to the wiring circuit with this approach.

Re: Cortez over Caribbean?

Bear in mind that the Sea of Cortez has very distinct seasons, very hot in summer and very cold in winter. We were headed north in October a few years ago and were shocked by a 10 degree f drop in...

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I really love the concept too, but keep in mind that the widely flared hulls put the leverage for the rig outside the foot print of the waterline. Ian Farrier was not at all a fan of this concept...

Re: Performance Cruising Trimaran - Trevor Banks 44

About 220 is our best day so far usually about 150 or so. In the trades, I expect 300 would be possible. Going very fast is really exhausting. We have been above 20 knots several times and it really...

Re: Performance Cruising Trimaran - Trevor Banks 44

Damn! I don't know why I don't have an edit button on these posts, but you are right, not $4800. That wouldn't cover slip fees and airfare to sell it.
So of course $48,000 is the price.
It appears...

Re: Performance Cruising Trimaran - Trevor Banks 44 Price Drop

SD30 Saildrive Question

There is a rather large opening in the hull around the exit of the saildrive on my 44' trimaran. It is a bit of a performance boat, and something like this on the bottom of the hull seems like a big...
