Re: repairing the fiberglass engine bed
Use bigger diameter and longer coach screws into the original bearer, after suitably preparing the holes for the new bolts. It's also possible the core of the beds is mush. In this case you'd... |

Re: Chain plate sizing.
Yep, laser cut. That's what I did. Got the bolt holes cut slightly undersized too, so just needed to ream the correct size drill bit through them to finish them off. Cut from mill finish 10mm... |

Re: Coral Reef Status
My lithium stocks have also gone through the roof. Uranium, not so much. I thank the current fad of switching from oil powered ICEV's to coal powered EV's for this, as it is certainly proving to... |

Re: Coral Reef Status
On the subject of fake experts, perhaps you can enlighten all those interested in why 99% of the world's coral is scheduled for deletion over the next 77 years? |

Re: Coral Reef Status
Well that's an interesting question. I probably would justify my, no doubt, grossly enlarged carbon footprint whilst filling in my empty schedule by continually banging on about the need for "us" to... |

Re: Corflute
Corflute is pretty delicate if unprotected. I have used it for making moulds for fibreglass with success. I think the biggest issue as a core material is that stuff doesn't stick to it very well... |

Re: Outboards are incredibly polluting - WOW
Hmm, you got me thinking working backwards from the energy content of fuel. Going metric for convenience.... One litre of fuel contains about 30 MJ of energy. Assume a 3.5 hp two... |

Re: Coral Reef Status
I'd take a wild stab in the dark and say a regular payday. "Nothing to see here" doesn't cut the mustard when the rent has to be paid. |
