Re: Free Florida...what would you do??

That is good info, especially if I can get retired pilot contact. I'd have to see if the FLL dock at $400/mo is much better than the free Boca spot.

One wild card is another of our close sailing...

Anything related to boats and boating is a compromise- unless money and time are no object.

I have my own sailboat on the west coast. But I had the opportunity to partner with a long time friend...

Re: Charleston to Ft Lauderdale, draft and ICW

Good info. Thanks. The specific deal fell through but we may have another that may follow the same general track. We are going with a <5 draft boat we are narrowing down.

Re: Info Needed Transport Costs

Old topic, I know. Looking at all of our options to find the right boat. Uship estimator says around $1500 to move a 37ft sailboat from Connecticut to South Florida. Obviously that seems a bit of a...

Re: Cruising equipped 32-36 ft in Texas<40k

Thanks.

I'm really surprised to not find many options in Florida. Seasonally, when do you all see the most movement?

Recap- and a little different than title...

Looking for a Florida-close...

Re: Cruising equipped 32-36 ft in Texas<40k

Change of plans. Will be partnering and looking for a Florida boat. Any price under $70k that is well equipped, not a project and 36-42'. Must be clean, drafting under 5' and ready to cruise.

Re: Charleston to Ft Lauderdale, draft and ICW

Thanks for the info. Any advice for 6.4 draft marinas for less than 6 months in south Florida? My guides have been delivered, but have not been home yet to read up.

Re: Charleston to Ft Lauderdale, draft and ICW

Good info. Thanks. The canal is directly off the waterway. My charts don't show the canal depth so I'll need to have someone physically check. We don't want to get there and it won't work.

Anyone...

Cmon Stu, you are on all the forums. You have helpful information but you jump on anyone who asks a question and tell them how to "look it up". For many of us, this is part of "looking it up". I see...
