Interesting explanation of depth reading anomalies. I've been curious why we get random inaccurate depth readings too. I've leaned toward nosy submarines though. LOL

In our engine room there is a tray for house batteries under the tray for starting battery and inverter /charger system. So batteries need to fit in an area where 480 pounds of batteries don't fly...

If the pic from the link below loads, the leak would be at the lower left corner where the grey compression block with 2 screws is located. The water appears to drip from the compression block.

We installed our EV-1 plus other components April 2016 while tied to a mooring ball. We have not experienced any issues with calibration.
