I’ve had a 3kw gen blow a 250a Mrbf. On first start after fusing. (Went to 300 and it was ok)

I never fuse small engines under 300a now. Med engines 500a.

follow the alternator wire. does it go to the starter post? or to a battery isolator (splitter) or it may go to the house battery.

if the shunt readings are twice the real number. you have maybe changed the mv/a shunt settings. you might have set it for a 1000a shunt instead of 500a

if you have a 500a shunt it should be...

Measure with a clamp meter. You can zero calibration the shunt if needed. But I have install 100.’s and never had one off that needed calibration. I’d bet it’s wired wrong and you have a wire...

generally it will work with 1 or 3. but not with 0. some wind devices have them built in. so do the old simnet power cables.

on the stern will work just fine. you might get 30mile range instead of 40 mile. but if a boat is 40 miles away it's not about to hit you.

the stern also can serve as a backup antenna moved...

can bus can take as many as you want... it's dasiy chained with terminators at each end. you don't "use up the ports" ve bus is the same but no terminators. more ve direct can go into usb ports...

The problem is if it’s 40c mid summer the absorb charging value drops to ~14.2v. And never gets near 14,6v

My 0.5v below absorb recommendation leaves buffer for volt temp comp. with lithuim...

You will probably never hit 0.5% tail current even if you leave the batteries charging for weeks plugged into ac. They will constantly take amps even if full. So yours probably never does an...

I watched the first 2 mins and shut it off. guy has no idea what's he's talking about. a dc to dc doesn't drain an engine battery. and a 10a charger to the start bank works fine. the orions...

the throttling is needed for the input. if the alt is only putting out 20a at idle to the start battery the orion will throttle it's charge back to 15-20a to maintain 13v+ on the start battery. ...

The Orion’s sense voltage and don’t need this…. Or ignition. And throttle current based on input voltage.
