If you are in a marina, there will be LOTS of noise... not related to how good/poor your radio is setup.

We have both a marine CO AND a Kidde with 10-yr battery. Zero false alarms on the Kidde. The better Kidde version has a useful digital readout of CO levels.

Well, there are thousands (+) of safe anchorages on the BC coast. Most isolated and far from towns/cities. Easy to anchor out evety night for a year.

And to reiterate: most places the sea does...

IF it is to remove bacteria and/or parasites (e. g., giardia), you'll need more than a "faucet filter".

Just to be clear: here in western Canada (British Columbia), O-Charts ENC are definitely our goto source for truly UP-TO-DATE charts.



The CHS ENC collection indeed has a few gaps in BC, but...

There are plenty of decent cheap android tablets with GPS on Amazon, why get a Fire? (Check out Blackview, works well for me with OpenCPN.)

Could this be due to Greek RASTER vs ENC chart differences? O-Charts perhaps only reflects ENC, whereas Navionics perhaps Raster,...

Here in Canada, Navionics often takes months to years to add CHS updates (rocks, shallows, new charts). Even when you "update" your Navionics, you cannot be sure your Navionics charts are actually...
