J/B weld in my experience in actually using it in that type of attempt to repair just such an issue, you will find that it is really brittle when cured and the adhesion to the area is a problem,...

Clean it with scotch brite and suitable solution. I use Wd40 at times, the green stuff too, but I'm sure 18 million will inject the proper one. :whistling:

if you all say the " friction coefficient" ? of the two surfaces interacting, ie; chain plate and mounting surfaces, is what supports the primary shear load...
