Tender Size ?

hello I am planning to add a tender to put on stout davits on Shanaly, my 15T long keel ketch. in fact, it will sit in wooden Vs on an extension of the aft deck. question is, how big/heavy is it allowed to be?!
I was thinking 12' aluminium, weight 250kg. the engine would be 50kg of this.
Someone asked me about meta centric balance point of the yacht, and I sure don't want to mess with that by adding any unbalancing items!

thoughts or practical experience very welcome!

I cant help with the meta thing, but I can tell you that I added heavy davits and an Avon 310 to my stern with no discernible difference in the way she sits or sails...and it did provide some well appreciated shade :thumb:
Mine is a 20T full keel boat.
This is a good link to dingy selection considerations.

250 kg is a lot of weight to add to the stern of a 15T boat. I'm not sure why you'd want to do that when a 10' RIB would weigh less and still be more stable than the tender you're contemplating.
