Hello hello!

I am VERY new to all this sailing/cruising deal, but I am very interested in
learning, not a little... but hopefully everything there is to know about sailing.
I hope to someday build my own boat from scratch, and so this is the reason
I find myself in this forum. Perhaps this place can teach me what I need to know,
or at least some of it. :)
Looking forward to having a closer look at all this boat talk!

Aloha Captain Red,
Welcome aboard and I hope you find this forum as enjoyable as I have.
Building a boat from scratch is a monumental undertaking. Been there for 15 plus years and the hull was already done. My advice is that you can have a better boat cheaper by shopping around for good quality constructed boats that people are willing to part with cheaply because they need a few minor repairs.
All your questions will be answered here and all your answers will be questioned as well. Part of the process of learning.
Kind Regards, JohnL

Welcome aboard. You've found a great place to swap ideas and learn from some experienced, and very knowledgeable cruisers.
